Preparing for a visit with Dr Janzen
What To Expect
Initial Visit (1.5 hours)
Before Your First VisitDuring Your First Visit- Visit the Nature Doctors website and download the appropriate intake form. Choose between the Adult or Pediatric (under 12 years old) Intake Forms. Click Here
- Print out and fill in the forms and email, fax (204-489-3128) or drop them off before your first visit-- or bring them along to your first visit.
- Complete the Release of Records form (for each pertinent health care provider) and bring to your initial visit. This form will then be faxed on your behalf to receive copies of lab results required or discussed.
- You can also request copies of the most recent blood work, scans or tests completed by your MD or other health care practitioner(s), or any test results that have shown any abnormalities in the past.
Call 204-943-6079 to make an appointment.- Dr Janzen will review the Intake Forms and your main health concerns with you.
- At the end of the visit, Dr. Janzen will provide an overview assessment of your health and together you will discuss a plan for general and specific treatment.
First Follow Up Visit (1 hour)
This visit is usually recommended within 2-3 weeks of the initial visit. Prepare For Your Follow Up Visit- Complete any recommended homework from Dr. Janzen prior to this visit as able – which may include questionnaires (see Patients Only page), Lab tests, oral body temperature readings etc.

- More specific treatments (including diet, supplements etc.) and/or additional lab testing required is often discussed in more detail.
Ongoing Visits (standard: 30-45 min)
If you have not followed up for more than a year, please schedule a 1 hour appointment. Pediatric Follow-up visits follow the same time schedule as adult visits. Call 204-943-6079 to make an appointment.Acute Visits (30 min)
These visits are reserved for existing patients of Dr. Janzen’s only and are for more immediate health concerns. Call 204-943-6079 to make an appointment.Pediatric Initial Visit (1.5 hours)
Pediatric follow-up visits follow the same time schedule as adult follow-up appointments – ranging in time from 30-60+ minutes. Call 204-943-6079 to make an appointment.Acupuncture Visits (45 minutes)
An assessment for treatment will be devised during your initial visit, with a slightly shorter treatment. Follow-up visits may vary in length – however, 45 minutes will be booked unless otherwise indicated by Dr. Janzen. Call 204-943-6079 to make an appointment.Intramuscular Injection Visits (10-15 minutes)
Standard injectable nutrients include B12 (methylcobalamin) and folic acid.
